If Anthony Richardson plummets to #29, then do you want the Saints to take him?

My opinion:

Trade if someone is calling offering a lot to move up and get him.

You know QB’s tumbling in the first round is not rare.

Absolutely! This is the thing. He won't be there in all likelihood. We may be looking at Tune in the third round though.

Nope. He is a guy you take a flyer on in the second or later.

If you're comfortable taking him in the 2nd you might as well take him and the potential 5th yr option at 29.

I’m hoping Carolina or Atlanta snag him thinking they got a steal….

He’s almost like Malik Willis all over again. He was also projected to go as high as top 5 and ended up falling to the 2nd

I have him rated as a third rounder, only based on upside. And below what I had Hurts rated coming out. No way in hell at 29.

Are you joking?

You draft Richardson in this scenario, whether we sign a veteran QB or not.

I dont care if we threw a bag at Carr, we still draft Richardson at 31 if he is there. I.E. Alex Smith and Pat Mahomes.

You draft toolsy guys when you have the coaches to develop them and the surrounding talent to give them a bit of time to adjust. Saints have neither, so no.

I’d only consider him if I have a high rating on him and he’s there in the 3rd, but I 100% agree with this comment:

If you think highly enough of any QB to take at 40, you definitely spend that 29th pick for the 5th year option while only giving up 11 spots

I really don't understand where any hype for this guy is coming from. He can run?

He went back to back games with a QBR rating under 10. His best games as a passer were literally okay at best.

He’s 6’4 230 and has the arm to make every throw on the field. Literally.

There are definitely flashes. I’ve seen him drop dimes that 99% of QB dream of. His issue is the easy throws. He’s a developmental project but if he goes somewhere that develops him as a quarterback, you could see him ascend very quickly.

You don't draft a qb that high if you have to develop him
