Doesn't seem like an OD if his body was wrapped in a rug and plastic.

It could be and like someone else mentioned that he OD'd in someone's house so they dumped him. It still leaves open the possibility of murder to me as well though.

Some crackhead has probably been looking for his rug for the past few weeks.

It probably really tied the room together at the crack house.

"Hey, hey, hey brotha' wh wh whe when I, when I, whe, whe when I can get tha, that, that rug back?"

News should display the rug on TV and let it be known the owner can retrieve it from the police station, no questions asked.

I want to know exactly where because I checked a bunch of places down scenic. North of Chippewa mostly.
A few south.

Either missed him by a block or 2 or they moved him after the fact

You were just 1 block away. The screen grab map I posted cut off right at Chippewa but there are vacant lots on north and south sides. It's my fault my drawing only indicated lots on the south side b/c my screenshot cut off right at Chippewa. I failed the OT and am not really a good OT Crime Fighter.

Body Found at X and you can see where I suggested searching. But really meant all those lots in Standard Heights(Vacant lots owned by Exxon).

Or they were sparring the family from embarrassment. BRPD has info that hasn’t been released to the public.

This would be supported by Murphy Pauls radio interview on 3/2 when he mentioned

“More than likely it did not happen in the downtown area, where he was at, there's still parts of the investigation that I cannot reveal at this time, and there is also some evidence that has yet to be presented"

I really Don’t think he overdosed

Guy relapsing in a city that is currently being plagued by fentanyl paints a pretty likely picture.

The issues in Baton Rouge with the drug are severely under reported. However bad you think it is, it’s worse

So the dude OD'd, basically suicide.

And wrapped himself in plastic?

Things like that only happen to former associates of the Clintons.

Man it gives me chills to think about being a 42 yr old, middle class white guy in some of the areas this dude was in at that time of night. I'd say something bad happening to you is more likely than not.

This sounds a lot like the Crystal Scott case, OD'd and found in a plastic bin in Gonzalez.

Very much so. So it’s not unheard of for junkies to freak out and figure out anyway to dispose of a body.

All critical thought goes put the window when a severe drug addiction takes hold. Especially if he was already drunk from earlier. Damn shame for his wife and kids.

In 2005, I met a woman in a bar near Emory. She was clearly tweaked out but decent looking. Older than me. Turns out she had a son who sold crack and other drugs on street corners not that far away. I put her in my car and we went looking for him to see about getting some party favors ourselves. I was drunk and really stupid to do that shite.
To use the OT's favorite word, I LITERALLY could have ended up like Millard in Atlanta.

shite happens.

They did dump him by a building that has FUNERAL HOME in giant letter across the front.

I feel bad for his kids.

We have a friend of the family who is BRPD and he said overdose is the biggest thing in the city that does not make the news.

I feel like the family and local media owes the Cajun Navy and that Texas Search team a refund for their resources.

We knew where Millard was a week ago. But the family and media let everyone believe he was just an unlucky innocent man who was abducted while walking 250 feet back to his hotel.

frick. I checked all over around that area, and was gonna check the funeral home (I even thought in my head "that would be a little on the nose wouldn't it") but never got back around to it and by that point different info had come out and I had changed my search area. I'm a goddamn moron. I should have listened to my gut.
