I am not into tattoos but that is cool. You have a clear meaning behind them. What I don’t understand is the ppl that have sleeves down there arms and will just go get a tat for the hell of it.

No care in appearance. My family migrated to this country in the 30's without a dime to their name, no English, and they died as millionaires. My grandfather maintained that as poor as he was he always took pride in his appearance, and after his shower in the morning, he dressed in a clean cut outfit the rest of the day. He believed that when you leave the house you are presenting yourself to society, so why tell society that you are a bum when you actually want to be a stud?
I do the same thing now. I get respect everywhere I go, probably because I give respect first by polite behavior, appearance, dialogue, and humbleness.
I look back and see that my family could have likely lived the poor lower middle class life, but they wanted more. They surrounded themselves around good people and worked their way up from there.

I'm not either. But I really love them. Somedays when I am sad I just rub them on my wrist and remember my family. If that is trashy then so be it.

It is super trashy to label someone as lower than yourself based on anything to do with their appearance e.g. tattoos, piercings, hair color, clothing, etc. Bigotry is far more trashy than any of these things, but unfortunately far too many people walk around judging others based on an individuals features as evidenced by the comments in this thread.
