When they first opened in BR, their espresso based drinks had consistency and rich flavor. Then they added automatic machines and began using lower quality coffee, and not surprisingly push drinks made with lots of sweetener. The original basic lattes without all the flavoring taste terrible now.

Yep. I hate putting anything in coffee; just black.
Starbucks is for people who hate where they are (like small towns) and drink Starbucks to make them feel big city.

It's referred to as Charbucks for a reason.
its over roasted on purpose to give it the "distinct" taste.
Cover it up with sugar and whole milk and bam, you're rich.

Thank you!! I am by no means a coffee snob, black out of the office coffee machine is just fine with me, but Starbucks ALWAYS tastes like I am drinking ash. My wife gets mad when I don't want to go their because their coffee tastes like it was made in my fireplace.
