Guys I’m not saying bench Pearson. He needs to get his chances. But maybe midweek for now? Until he shows signs of life. I cannot keep Jones out of the lineup. Facing righty or lefty. He’s too hot!

there's basically zero difference in weekend and weekday games right now until conference play, in fact our toughest game before conference play is probably @ Texas midweek

On one hand I want to see him based on him being so good last year.

On the other hand I dont know if you can put him in there without delivering a message to the team that some are untouchable no matter how bad they practice. Pearson is not Crews with two years of excellence to look back on.....

I split time with him and Kling for the first 8-10 and see what happens from there.

Right. I have no clue who Texas will throw that game, but it's likely to be the 2nd or 3rd best pitcher we'll face before the SEC. Iowa's Brody Brecht being likely the best (or at least highest ceiling). The D3 transfer pitching today (and probably against us) for K-State struck out something like 250 guys in 170 innings in D3.

Project is vying for that moderator opening. Every baseball thread on the first page has a response from project being a dick near the top

Yeah a D3 transfer I'd have pretty big skepticism about before seeing him against D1 hitters. JUCOs would blow out D3 schools in baseball.

He'll get his chances, you cant ignore a guy who hit .300 as a freshman in the SEC because their offseason wasn't good.

So we’re second guessing our coach with the preseason #1 before the first game even starts. Cool.

Pearson is a team player and realizes the importance of having Jobert stay for the team as a whole. Easier to rotate the younger guy and give the vet the start. That may change depending on Joberts consistency at the plate this year. He struggled in SEC comp some last year and had major cold streaks. We will see.

Pearson will get his. Shite he did last year.

In his defense, a lot of posters that post about baseball on here deserve that type of response. A little research on the game and actually paying attention to the team before posting dumb posts would go a long way for some people.

If he gets rolling insert him in the line up. We have too much talent to not play the hot hitter

This may be the first time I ever agree with you.

Well, you can't ignore him, but you can sit him until he shows life in practice.

How many practices have you observed? I agree with your comment in theory but no one on here has any idea what Pearson has shown day-to-day in training.

I don't know, but I would have asked this in the thread already discussing line up predictions.

I don't do prediction threads because they're fricking stupid
