Saban is the GOAT like it or not, he doesn't win on talent alone.

Just because he's highly rated by supposed recruiting gurus, doesn't mean he was as high on Kelly's list. If he was a Perkins,Smith, Sampson type we'd pull all the stops to land him. Gotta spend NIL money wisely .

These kids weren’t even born during Deion’s playing career. They’re following the clout train. Folks always talking about the dude. Has his own documentary series. I wish folks would stop posting about the dude. I don’t dislike Deion at all, but it gets tiring hearing about a 1st year PAC-12 coach who hasn’t coached a game in fbs yet.

Kids that want to follow him, let them. He ain’t winning nothing anytime soon. They’ll learn. All these posts about the dude, is why these kids are interested. They want to be a part of the show.

Better to lose him now than in December.

RC isn’t pushing anyone to CU over LSU so you can take that BS somewhere else !

Expect this for the first few years…until kids realize it’s all just flash and no substance. Colorado doesn’t have the NIL to compete with SEC schools and the SWAC is about as bad as football can be and still call themselves D-1.

It’s like when college basketball programs hire NBA stars as HC (Hardaway, Ewing). Looks great at first…until you soon realize they aren’t good coaches

Let him commit if he wants but if they don’t win more than 2 games this year. Everyone will be recommitting

My thoughts exactly. Extra positive is the freshman playing experience before coming to the good guys.

Correct. And one of the ways he’s achieved this is by his recruiting classes, is it not? Have they or have they not have 2-3x the talent most everyone else does on the field. Hell, look at the class he just brought in this past class.

No.

That athletic department gets very little support and they have no local talent to fill gaps in recruiting or fall back on.

I remember a Colorado team in the 90’s that played for national championships. I know that there athletic department could not have been any better than it is now.

Different time when TV money and conference affiliation weren’t the drivers for success. Colorado is a have not no matter who’s coaching there.

Wasn't Patrick Ewing great, horrible coach and no great center has he produced

Well yeah, the game changed after he retired

Pat was a brute who’d be benched nowadays. The game now demands skills from every player on the court that Ewing didn’t have

I could almost guarantee you it's not money. CU isn't outpaying top programs.
they probably could if it’s a guy the top teams don’t want
