Priscilla Presley is questioning the validity of her late daughter Lisa Marie’s will.
According to a court filing gathered by CNN, attorneys for Priscilla Presley, the former wife of Elvis Presley, filed a petition that disputed a 2016 amendment to the will.
The petition says Lisa Marie Presley removed her mother and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees in favor of her children Riley and Benjamin Keough.
Benjamin Keough died in 2020 by suicide.
Included in other issues surrounding the amendment, it is claimed that Priscilla did not receive the amendment while Lisa Marie was alive as required by her trust, and that it misspells Priscilla’s name.
The petition also claims the amendment was not witnessed or notarized and questions the legitimacy of Lisa Marie’s signature.
“[The signature] appears inconsistent with [Lisa Marie Presley’s] usual and customary signature,” according to the documents.

I'm no lawyer but this seems pretty cut n dry.

Don't be cruel to Priscilla. She's already in Heartbreak Hotel as it is.

Given the history of ODs and suicides from people associated with that estate, I wouldn’t want my name on a will. I’d be inheriting the toilet I’d die on, sooner than expected.

Wasn't the misspelling of Elvis's middle name on his headstone one of the things that for years fueled the 'Elvis is not dead!' rumors?

no one will be arguing over my estate when i die.

Trying to keep from ending up in the ghetto like a hound dog.

My situation was very similar and the codicil wasn't witnessed nor notarized and the judge was going to let it pass.
Fortunately we essentially forced him to follow the law due to other variables. Judges are shady AF

We can’t go on together, with suspicious minds.

I read that Lisa Marie was about $4 million in debt, but she had two life insurance policies totaling $35 million. Once the debt is paid off, the balance would go to her 3 children. Presumably, the money going to two minor children would go in the trust. I'm assuming that's why there is a battle over the trust.
ETA: I don't know what money LMP got from the Graceland operation, so that may come into play as well for the minor children.

I'm pretty sure she also was the actual owner of Graceland.

Without Priscilla there wouldn't be an estate too argue over. She nearly single handedly saved and built Elvis's financial empire.
What Tom Parker didn't frick him out of Elvis pissed away.

I don't believe hand written wills/codicils need to be notarized, but if the signature is 'irregular' as Priscilla claims, then it can be disqualified. It could be different in TN, though.

Exactly. Hopefully Priscilla is included in the will. Otherwise, she could end up walking in the cold Kentucky rain.
