The talent level doesn’t matter if the coach can’t coach. There’s no leadership. Where’s the effort?

The second poster in this thread summed it up perfectly.

The sad story, some folks never learn.
I tried to warn, pre season, winning coaches don't come around very often. Wade made it look so easy these clowns that everyone could do it.
If Wade had never been fired, with the talent he had coming in, "we coulda been a contenda". Old line from Marlon Brando Movie, "On the Waterfront".

We need inside and outside scoring threats. We have neither now. Right now LSU just shoots themselves out of ball games. Gotta get impact players. Gonna take a couple years at best. Portal may be a good place to look for proven players.

He was responding to a comment that stated "10+ point" losses for every single game. This was still a game. Their status in the Big 12 doesn't negate math or the fact that an idiot said something not true.

LSU has lost 9 games. 3 of them by less than 10 points. They have sucked bad enough without making stuff up.

I wasn't sure where to post this, and I didn't want to start a new topic, but...

I've never been this negative for LSU Basketball in my life, and it fricking sucks. Truly, it wholehearted sucks.

That includes any Dale, Brady, Trent, JJ, Wade.

I know fans are fickle, but the worst fans to me are the drive-by.

I'm down a bit now compared to a few weeks ago. McMahon does not look like a bad coach prior to this stretch though he has not looked particularly good this year either.

I am still willing to give him some leeway but I find myself not at all interested now. I am rarely disinterested in the big 3 and not this bad for even WBB or softball. Next season can not be this bad or he needs to be gone. I hope he turns it around.

This has actually been the worst part of this season. Well, maybe the previous 6 games were worse.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

And the yet the guy coaching at Kansas State is doing just fine with pretty much the same starting point we had. This excuse needs to die.

White Trent simply missed on talent evaluation for these guys in the SEC, they would dominate in the OVC, SWAC, Southland…

I've never been this down, even in our terrible years. I was one of the guys on this board saying TJ was a good hire, we're making the NCAAT with Ben Simmons under CJJ. I'm not sure how back TD goes, but I've been there all along - right or wrong.

I don't think I have a place where I wouldn't care about LSU Basketball. And that's on me.

For everyone else, do you. It's fine.

I still care about the program, again I may have not been clear, I just found myself not checking when the game was today. That was the first time this season did that. The game was over by the time I got on here.

I'm a football-first guy but my year at LSU was the 80-81 basketball season and that was fun as hell so LSU basketball will always have a place in my heart.

I want MM to do better because I want men's basketball to do better.

You're okay bro. I wish I could check out. I just know it's not going to happen. I say this a bit, but we literally had 7-10 posters in any game thread for years. I come across as "better fan" and frick that. I'm just an LSU Basketball fan.

My first year at LSU was 1989. Met Shaq and CJ. That's a different story.

This is a DRASTIC overreaction

The Florida and TAMU games were technically more than 10 but those were games all the way. We had a 4 game stretch of getting blown out. Then today we had some opportunities to win but didn’t

Our talent is horrible, it’s as bad as it’s ever been. That’s a fact. Will Wade would struggle with this talent because of the scheme he plays. We have small and unathletic guards. Undeniable

Our talent is not great, but things are made worse by our bad coach. There will be 3 more years of subpar basketball. When McMahon is forced to leave, his SEC record will be a 40% winning percentage or less. Those are my predictions.

We don’t have a guard over 6’2. We cannot create ANY shots off the bounce. Miller can SOMETIMES shoot and sometimes kill us. College basketball is about guard play and we have none. Look at Gaines and Murray…we don’t have them. Hell, look at Keith Hornsby. Look at even Josh Gray! Josh Gray would be our 2nd best player

Did Jones and Johnson have several months to build a completely new roster year 1. Nope. Good try
