There will be a couple survivors from the people that just dont want to deal with the hassle of buccee's. I pass two everytime I go to Louisiana to visit family. Unless I have to take a dump I stop elsewhere so I dont have to deal with the people/traffic.

This is my spouse. Hates the crowd and doesn’t particularly like their food that you have to eat in the car. But we do stop there in terrell for gas but eat elsewhere nearby. So that makes even Bucc-ee haters stop and eat in Terrell. I think that might be a major plus for sure—everybody, lover or hater, stops at that exit. I think that’s what they are counting on, just hope the rest survive at other exits.

I think there could be a couple of gas stations along I-20 that close up. In addition to Bucees they are building a quick trip gas station now. The places that will be hurt are the stations who have failed to upgrade and are already more run down.

based off this statement, i doubt they are wasting much in terms of your tax dollars.

Y’all are just jealous about it not going on I10 in BR or anywhere on it. Seems you (collective you) were salivating at the thought of it being down there somewhere before it fell through.

If there was a Buc-ee's being built on I-10 between BR and NO, we would have 8 threads a day and more than likely a sticky for it.

One thing I noticed when it was announced at the city council meeting Ruston mayor thanked the visitors who were in attendance from south Louisiana for coming up for the meeting. I wonder if these were just all journalists, or if you had some people come up to find out what it took to lure bucees to Ruston.

Plus a new USA Travel Center off 33 exit just opened a few months ago, so there will be that, the QT and Bucc-ee’s. But the USA one takes 18-wheelers.. The QT is at least going east. Let’s hope EVs don’t take over too soon…..but guess they could just put in a zillion charging stations.

I’ve already decided they wouldn’t be building all these new gas stations if there’s any chance ev’s are taking over. The Dude that built the Travel center built another station almost as big on Alabama ave. between Ruston and Grambling.

I was at that meeting. I think he was just recognizing state reps from baton rouge that made their way up. Got to have those photo ops.

I had not heard that. Lots of houses popping up out there so I guess it could make sense.

I can’t believe as common as they are Ruston doesn’t have an IHOP or Cracker Barrell. Lots of towns smaller than Ruston have them.

I think it’s hilarious that the first buc-ee’s in the state is in North Louisiana instead of Lafayette or Baton Rouge

How is giving money back that would never have been collected in the first place a waste of our money?
