Happy to have this man at the helm, and can't wait for the season to start. Johnson at First Pitch Banquet:
quote:

I would not leave LSU to be the manager of the New York Yankees. This is the best job in all of baseball. And I'm lucky to have it.

I’ve had a raging Boner since 9:57 PM

How do I make it go down?

Wonder what would happen on this Board if Steinbrenner called and called his bluff. Hope he doesn’t dislike LSU for any reason. Lol

Remember when people wanted him fired after we lost to La Tech twice?

I'm not that up to date on what he gets paid but I'm sure it's plenty(not all need/want the most money). When the choices are to be the man at the most supported college program in the country or deal with the pressures and fickleness of an MLB job, I'd choose the college job every time.

Shocker. A coach with no shot at being the NYY manager claims he would never leave his current job for one he would never get in the first place.

I believe him. Who would want to live in NYC half the year and then deal with a roster full of overpaid players.
