That is a lot of booze. And not to be a shite, but she has to take some blame for letting herself get in that situation. And as hard as it may be but she should have been denied any more booze if she was that wasted. I mean like where her friends she said she could not find????? A tragic situation for her and her family. IMO the charges should be 1st degree rape.

If this goes to trial, I would hate to be her parents when the defense tries to paint their daughter as a drunk slut that wanted anal and vaginal sex from two different people in the back of a truck. That would almost kill me to hear someone speak of my murdered daughter that way.

Lawyers do this kind of shite with absolutely zero hesitation and they don't give a shite how it makes the victim's family feel.

no. She doesn’t get any blame. She didn’t rape anyone.

I'd like the OT lawyer (if there's one here) to 'splain to me if this manslaughter language applies or doesn't apply:

quote:

 (3) When the offender commits or attempts to commit any crime of violence as defined by R.S. 14:2(B), which is part of a continuous sequence of events resulting in the death of a human being where it was foreseeable that the offender's conduct during the commission of the crime could result in death or great bodily harm to a human being, even if the offender has no intent to kill or to inflict great bodily harm. For purposes of this Paragraph, it shall be immaterial whether or not the person who performed the direct act resulting in the death was acting in concert with the offender.

Yeah I don't know the legal limit of it but I feel like if you offer some black out incoherent person a ride like that you should have some responsibility to not just dump them somewhere to be done with them regardless of what happened in the car earlier

These dudes couldn't be bigger pieces of shite if they tried to

As a parent with a daughter all 4 of them should be lined up against a wall and shot.

So she is in part responsible for her 1st degree rape in your opinion? There are some true characters in this thread.

Fromwhat I gather about 3rd degree rape if you’ve had sex with a girl who’s legally drunk … you have done something close to it .

All she has to do is claim it.

I hope I’m mistaken on that

The lawyers on here will spout some bullshite about how this wasn’t a continuous sequence of events, but she apparently died just a few minutes after being dropped off.

But what do they know. ChatGPT just passed the bar, so it’s a failing profession anyway.

Chat AI will replace us all soon.

Continuous sequence of events.

So:

Does being vaginally and anally raped while 4x the legal limit drunk lead to confusion, trauma, disorientation so that dropping her off on the side road set her on a path to death as she was unable at that point to make any decision but immediately seek help, which she tried to do only to be run over?

If you kidnap and leave a 2 year old on the side of Interstate 10 during rush hour, you didn't run over the child yourself but you sure set forth a sequence of events where that child was facing life or death danger. Seems comparable to what happened here.

Yeah regardless of what they will say it's pretty obvious they just ditched her at some random location hoping to never see her again after what they did. Probably thinking she was blacked out and would have no memory of it. I'm sure she was yelling to get out so they let her go and sped off

She didn't have a chance on her own at that point

Like Murphy's after that guy was run over ages ago.

Ben Wynne drank himself to death I thought. He definitely wasn’t run over except by liquor.

I thought a guy underage drank himself to pass out drunk. Passed out under a car and was run over.

He died b/c they served him.

So, comparable to here.

Hodson means well, but he’s been getting things wrong all day long. Ben Wynn died of alcohol poisoning. Murphys was made the scapegoat by the university. Dude got ripped way before he ended up at Murphys.
