Anything old and German.

ETA: I had really contemplated buying my son a classic from an auction like that…but I need his ride to be reliable and I don’t know enough about vehicles to randomly spend $35k on something I’ve seen for an hour.

Put $10,000 on the '66 Shelby Group II Mustang built for Ken Miles. If you get it I will pay you $2k for your trouble.

I'll be watching this. Mecom last week showed prices are still holding firm on collector cars. We will see if this continues with B-J.
Another auction your way next week is the RM/Sotheby's. The Corvette world is watching to see how the 1969 ZL-1 will sell. Est between 2.6-3M. A lot of questions have surrounded this car and its authenticity.

I been looking for a 1968 Shelby GT 500 convertible. Was hoping they were dipping in price. Found a GT350 convertible but even though it’s close, it’s not the top dog.

Post the price if they sell one please.

Be cool to just sit there all day and buy the best value no reserve vehicle possible, regardless if you like it or not.

Barret-Jackson is an incredible experience. Went 2 years ago and had a blast.

Go check out the Levrack booth.

I’m sure they’ll be a lot of sophisticated people at that auction and not a lot of rich rednecks buying shite.

What's the buyer and seller fees on the sale?

IIRC it's up to at least 10% from each. Seems it was like 6% when I first started watching years ago.

I always like the first few days (based on tv broadcast) as the vehicles are more affordable and interesting to me....

A friend goes to a Mecum auction every other year at least. Treats it like a massive car show.

I went last year. We had the passes to go up on the auction stage. It’s pretty awesome.
