Yes, 15 years later. First off, excellent show. It’s behind The Wire and maybe GOT in my HBO ranking, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. Tony is probably the best single character from those shows. Master performance from Gandolfini.

Other notes:
-AJ was such a fricking loser, god I hated every scene with him
-Adrianna’s final couple scenes were brutal
-Silvio’s deadpan throughout the series was great
-Paulie was a badass…but also kind of a pussy?
-Tony’s mom is maybe the most unlikable character ever
-Ralphie was a pain in the arse but he was funny as hell
-I really grew to despise Tony. It wasn’t the murder and womanizing and theft that got to me, it was how he treated Hesh and how nasty he was to Carmella.

Anyway, I subscribe to the theory that Patsy ultimately had Tony killed at the end.

I didn’t mind the AJ character.

He is a loser who is bad at pretty much everything, but that serves a purpose so I found him much more tolerable than other child actors on serious shows.

AJ, Meadow and Carmela were all awful, spoiled whiny shitheads. I hated them all.

The character I disliked the most was Tony's sister, followed closely by his wife

Yes, Janice was loathsome. I didn’t mind Carmella. Sure she was naggy and bitchy, but Tony treated her like dogshit 90% of the time. I usually enjoyed the scenes between them 2.

Him helping the other new york family was worthy of getting killed.

I actually wished Chris' story would have turned out better.

Wait awhile maybe a year and do a rewatch. The writing is fantastic and hilarious on the second go around.

I wish I could watch it again for the first time

I think the mom is reason tony ended up the way he did
They should have at least married Christopher and Adrianna
Can you imagine being Tony’s son

I think Christopher's story ended perfectly. Was it the ending that the audience who watched Chris for years wanted? No. Is it the most appropriate way for his character to go out? Yes.

At the end of the day the show is about Tony. And Christopher's demise served to show that Tony's soul was truly beyond saving.

It's a series about a arch criminal and murderer and those who know what he is and stay w/ him out of convenience and wealth. Of course the characters are all bad people. Also, SPOILERS********** Pauli tried to steal from his elderly mother's friend and strangled her when she discovered him....that was definitely his lowest moment. One of the defining moments of the show is when Carmella goes to the psychiatrist recommended by Melfi who explains everything to her in black and white. And Melfi was flawed too. Maybe she started as trying to help, but she was the enabler and abetter of a criminal.

I just finished it a couple of months ago and damn it was so good. It’s crazy how some scenes had you laughing your arse off and other scenes had you think “holy shite did ___ just do that???”

The show as a whole was excellent, but I could’ve done without the 5-6 episodes of Vito’s gay drama away from the gang. I like how it showed how he couldn’t adapt to normal life outside the mob but I didn’t need it to drag out that long. I’m glad Phil got crushed, literally, in the end.

Funny how, despite all the malapropisms, Little Carmine was the smartest character in the entire series. I wonder if his idiocy was an act or an exaggeration.

It did produce some top notch homophobic comedy

Also, how great of a villain was Phil Leotardo?

Loved how they called Leotardo "The Shah".

And yes, the worst, most boring and pointless part of the show was Vito's going full gay in small town New Hampshire.
