I thought I had IBS in my 20’s. But it went away when I stopped going to happy hour almost every day after work to drink cheap draft beer.

Even though I was right about shots and masks, I’m not a doctor so I don’t want to upset some with recommendations outside of my expertise.

quote:

Self-care

High fiber diet, Dietary fiber, Physical exercise, Stress management, and Relaxation techniques

Medications

Antidiarrhoeal, Gut antispasmodic, Laxative, Nerve pain medication, Antibiotics, and Dietary supplement

Therapies

Biofeedback, Cognitive behavioral therapy, and Brief psychotherapy

I’ve heard decent stuff about innosupps products.

IB Gard probably helped the most as far as meds. But when I lost about 25 (from 195to 170) lbs most of my symptoms diminished drastically.

I was diagnosed in college. I didn’t change much. I just popped antacids like there was no tomorrow, and accepted the fact that I would need to shite almost immediately after any unhealthy meal.

I think techniques to reduce stress and an improved diet have fixed things up for me for the most part.

Yassss king I’m about to fix you

You gotta get on the gurt baw

There’s a long health and fitness board post on it if you search.

This Swedish company patented a strain of lactobacillus that’s usually present in small numbers in your gut and they sell it in pill form for people with digestive problems

So you take those pills (gastrus by biogaia on Amazon) and mix it with cream and add this stuff called inulin and make yogurt out of it

Powerman thinks it makes your hair grow back too

Aloe vera juice.

Without the aloe latex (aloin).

Get the pure stuff. Drink 2 oz a day.

"Gorges" is made in Texas and has no taste and is purified. Sold by Amazon if you cant find it.

You may belch a few minutes after you drink it but it's fine.

Helps the flare ups from my j pouch they made me after my colectomy years ago.

IBS is like Fibromyalgia. Just another thing the doctors diagnose you with when they have no clue what is really happening to you. My ex-wife is a nurse and said doctors actually told her that. My daughter was diagnosed with IBS and had issues for 8 years. We finally did the correct tests and found out it was compressed arteries and veins below her diaphragm causing the pains. Hence, NOT IBS. A few surgeries later, and she is like a new person.

A dozen dried apricots a day. Your bathroom will look like a monster truck show passed through.

Not my story but I lived through the experience.

I'm on the FODMAP diet. I hate taking pills. It's been a blessing in disguise, I've lost 30 pounds.
