Explain? I don’t know much about the guy except he coached at McNeese for a number of years and seems to have a pretty good resume

I think there are rumors of alcohol problems. Didn't he get a DWI once after a game? Why he had to go back down to DC at 1AA McNEese.

The convicted murderer? No.
How about the multiple DUIs including one the night before he was supposed to coach against LSU.

That's garbage to do, but some people have problems and then get their life on track
has he cleaned up?

Heard he quit drinking years ago. Had really good defenses at Marshall. Good hire for Tulane. And regardless of what you read, you will be hard pressed to find anyone that actually knows or played for Guidry that doesn't like him, self included.

Either way. Probably won't get a DUI in Nola after a game.

this. He's a great defensive mind that will run through a brick wall for his players.

quote:
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Bernie La Forteza imposed the maximum term on Janzen Jackson, 26, who was convicted of voluntary manslaughter for Frank Herrera's September 2013 killing.
"The defendant brutally killed Mr. Herrera using three separate ligatures," the judge said, adding that Jackson dragged Herrera's body to the victim's car and drove it to South Los Angeles, leaving the remains inside to decompose. "Here the defendant committed a very heinous act in killing the victim through strangulation."
quote:
Deputy District Attorney Richard Quinones told the judge, "This was, in the People's opinion, not a voluntary manslaughter, although that's what he was ultimately (found) guilty of."
Also, generally the only time you get the maximum, non-mandatory sentence, is when everyone thinks you did worse than the charge allows. . .or if you are generally a remorseless dickhead in court.

Yea you’re right, since he was only convicted of manslaughter, he’s not that bad of a guy. Probably just misunderstood
