Journalism is dead. No wonder it’s the most regretted degree.

I majored in queer studies and I would do it again.

Learn to code, really speaks to this list. Love they made up the saying themselves and now it’s bullying.

I have a Com degree with journalism minor. I've done incredibly well for myself despite not a single useful College class in my curriculum or anything related to my degree meaning a hill of beans in my career. My high school speech and drama classes were far more impactful.

Checks out from my personal experience. Although journalism wasn't complete dead when i got my major in the 90's at UGA. But it died pretty soon after.
ETA-
Journalism wasn't just about the talking heads and the writers. There were all sorts of jobs in journalism in print, editing, publishing, equipment, ad sales, ad design, circulation, I could go on. It was still somewhat of a blue collar industry and quite profitable until the internet came along.

Human Resources Management in the top 10 regret-free majors.
They aren't responsible for producing anything other than playing armchair QB and coming up with stupid ideas.

You're telling me I could have a degree in the OT?

I run into a ton of people with biology degrees looking for their second or third degree. They had dreams of med school, vet school or dental school and discovered when they couldn't get in that the degree doesn't offer any job prospects. I bet most of the ones that didn't regret their biology degree went to one of those options.

I have a degree in nursing, and while I have not always loved the job, I have no regrets about my degree. Always allowed me to have a job that fit my and my families needs
One grown child has multiple degrees in healthcare/medicine and no regrets other than the ridiculous student loan debt.
On the other hand, my other child has multiple degrees in education, and while she LOVES teaching, the environment is so incredibly toxic she finally had to quit teaching and now has an office job that she "appreciates" but isn't really her "calling"

Not sure if anyone read the fine print, coupling the degree with regretted based on that question is a bit of a stretch.

If you could go back and select a college major all over again, knowing what you now know about the job market and the skills employers are looking for, what would you choose?

1. Would choose the same major.
2. Would chose a different major.

Truth. My child that is in medicine was required to get a bachelor's degree in something "real" that requires a license, on the off chance she didn't get in or lost the desire to go on to graduate school. She did go on to become a PA, but could have had a job for life with her bachelor's degree.

All or nothing degree based on getting into law school. Thus all the ragerts.

Yes if I hadn’t gone to law school I’m guessing I’d have a lot of ragerts.

Psychology being in least regretted is surprising

I earned a BA in Journalism from LSU in 1973 when the newspaper business was still cool and thriving. Had a great 37 years. But embarrassed now about what an unaccountable shite-show it has become. Pathetic.
