Nuss is being pursued by elite programs who don’t have returning QBs.

He isn’t automatically the starter at UGA. Are you people for real?

He might be. But I’ll tell you who he would be the automatic starter for. Bama. Milroe isn’t as talented and Saban is looking for a transition QB.

Nuss would be an idiot to leave. He gets the keys to a nice ride after 2023. He gets to stay healthy, gain another year under a veteran, and take over a 3rd year rebuilt squad.

There is no way that Nuss is going to back up JD again and ride the bench all of next season, he’s too talented not to start somewhere.

He wants to play for LSU. He has a path to start next year. Yeah. I give him some playing time. It may be limited in tight games (if JD is producing). But if I’m CBK, I tell him he will have a few series a game with a chance for more being game dependent. You want to keep him in the fold for sure. Think you stop short of guaranteeing more than that.

Delusional LSU fans can’t understand this, they think great QBs are just gonna sit the bench when they could start at other good programs.

Wake up call: they aren’t. See Walker Howard.

Not to mention that if Nuss WERE to leave Kelly would just find another backup veteran QB in the portal.
It would be different if we were looking for a starter.

We got a glimpse of next year In the bowl. 2 qb system with Daniels taking a less of a roll. It’ll be a competition in the spring and you’ll see nuss getting alot of PT with Daniels in the taysom Hill roll. Our WR will be too elite to not get touches

“Hey Nuss so here’s how it’s going to go, you’re not going to be the starter next year but you will get to stay healthy and learn from JD for another year”

Yeah, let’s just go get another elite transfer QB from the portal..,oops, there aren’t any because they’ve already been taken and the best you’re getting now are scrubs…

Duck, but if defenses had to prepare for both of them it'd be to our benefit. I think JD and Nuss both enjoyed it a lot too. JD runs a lot and knows how to win a game. Putting Nuss in every couple of series keeps JD's legs fresh all season and gives our wide outs the better deep ball. If it helps us win the game, why wouldn't we?

I think a 2 QB system in 2023 is the way to go. Keeps both QBs happy as well as the WRs, and makes game planning harder on opposing coaches.

So you want JD with true freshman Collins as the only backup? Do you want LSU to win?

I hope you’re right, but Walker Howard doesn’t give me any Confidence that you are. They can play anywhere they want day one and combined with NIL, they’re gonna jump.

There’s no more loyalty in today’s NCAA football
