For me it's a height issue. At 6'2 with the SO being 5'3, I have to be in a semi squat position for an extended period of time...and my knees and back aren't what they used to be.
A good alternative is for me to lift her up and have her back pinned against the wall and/or legs wrapped around me. This allows for optimal leverage AND depth.
Plus when I lift her up for a trip to pound town, she always says "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE", which makes me giggle.
