Let them get all the hype. Like I said in another post I would like to somewhat fly under the radar a little bit before the start of the season.

The article shows all the pundits too early rankings. Most have both LSU & FSU Top 10. Should be a good game!

We'll be in the 6-9 range...

it’s an abomination that this game wasn’t a home and home

FSU will be a really good team. They bring back a lot of starters, doing great in the portal, and somehow got that freaking monster, Verse, to return. They will be in the top couple of teams we play next year.

Let me put preseason rankings into perspective for you:

Hey, it gets people fired up.
Always with good intention, I routinely do the Orlando bowls. Problem is when Snook season is open, I get caught up having too much fun fishing and rarely make it to the game. I'll probably make this one.

No way they miss the opportunity for a "top 10" match-up to open the season

They get a 1st round defensive end to come back to school.
We lose a 5th round offensive lineman to the draft.

Verse absolutely killed us in our one-point, opening day loss this past season.

That's a good read.
Plenty of room for optimism on the LSU side for 2023.
Some sites listing LSU at #3 or #4.

The Athletic (pay site) has LSU at #4 also
quote:
Brian Kelly’s first team overachieved. In 2023 he’ll have more experience and several high-end players in QB Jayden Daniels, stud LB Harold Perkins, 1,000-yard WR Malik Nabers, TE Mason Taylor and DTs Maason Smith and Mekhi Wingo. An O-line that started two freshmen should return intact. Kelly needs to plug holes at CB and edge. So far, he’s added Texas A&M CB Denver Harris and Oregon DE Bradyn Swinson.

Honestly, it's kind of nice seeing FSU back in the mix again.

Just like the '22 season that matchup is a stand alone game on sunday night. Primetime national TV.
