Anyone know anybody who went to the Louisiana culinary institute?

I worked with a baw who went there. He was a coiled tubing operator offshore. He liked it.

I’ve known several. Most are line cooks and not very good at it. Only knew one guy who actually had any talent come from there. He was a chef at some resort in Colorado last I heard. That was several years ago not sure what he’s doing now.

A friend of ours has a son who went. He works at a decent local restaurant but idk what he does. I would assume line cook if I had to guess.

If a degree from this culinary institute isn’t well respected and providing great culinary jobs to graduates, what culinary school is doing that? Is there like a Harvard of culinary schools somewhere and LCI is just the local community college?

Probably Culinary Institute of America or Johnson and Wales.
Neither are really a guarantee that you will be the next great million dollar chef. But I think they are considered the top of the line here on this country.

And Le Corson Bleu. The restaurant Industry is way behind in pay and quality of life unfortunately

Yes. My cousin's kid graduated from there and he's doing very well as an executive chef.

My sister did.
Was a chef and chef de cuisine at a well known restaurant group locally. She’s now on the operations/new locations side of the business.
