Absolutely the most South Louisiana thing ever written in a news story. This journalist is a credit to the profession and gives me hope. Where else in the reporting of a maniac hate crime attack do they mention what the guy was going to cook for dinner?
BTW, the writer broke down and admitted that the attacker is black and the victim white. So they are probably already fired.

This type of judicial malfeasance, combined with prosecutorial malfeasance in failing to pursue the maximum penalties allowed by law under the admissible evidence, is the root of the problem.
