Any idea when team reports back from holidays? When is first official practice? Going to be a fun year!

Who’s our ace? Do we have an ace this year?

44 days til first pitch, so you'd have to expect they're going to be out there as early as next week just before school resumes.

I keep trying to find ways to temper my expectations of this team, but I can't. The lineup is stacked, the pitching staff is stacked, the bench is stacked, and the NCAA is Fricked.
But to answer your original questions, I don't know.

Usually a four week practice period before the first game, which is February 17. Classes resume at LSU on the day after MLK Day, January 17, so we're still two weeks away from official team practices. I'm sure they'll be doing a lot of individual work prior to that. JJ never sleeps.

There are some questions that still need to be answered:
1. Can Thompson find his glove at SS?
2. Who is going to win the 2nd base job?
3. With so many potential front line pitchers, what role does each guy play?
4. Will we have a true closer?
5. Can Millazo hit enough to keep Neal out of the lineup?
6. How does the outfield shake out? I'm assuming Pearson if LF, Crews in CF, Kling in RF.
7. Where is the best place to stay in Omaha?

I think they keep Skenes as the Friday guy so they can use his bat the rest of the weekend without the idea of having a pitching start lingering.

Does anyone know when tickets go on sale?

Regarding pitching, I don't think it can be overstated what a great hire Coach Wes Johnson will be as pitching coach...
LSU's pitching staff is learning under one of the best in the game...

Two SEC series I'm looking forward to already:
1) Mar 17 @ A&M
2) Mar 30 vs Tenn
After last season against A&M, and because Vitello sucks

Over the last five years, spring scrimmages have started as early as Jan. 17 (2017) and as late as Jan. 30 (2021). I don't have any info on this year's first scrimmage, as yet.

I think Kling and the catchers are gonna be hard to keep out of the line up by the end of the year.

Dugas is a guy who led the SEC in RBI’s.
Jobert hit 18HR’s in his 1st season as a Tiger.
The fact that these guys are not guaranteed starters should get you excited about this team.
