If someone told you we would lose the 1st and last game of the regular season, would you have believed any of the subject?

Pretty enjoyable season TBH. Massive resolve. A few disappointments, but by in large, a drama free season. Bowl game was in doubt for 3 minutes. I think we can just go back to summing things up with “it’s nice to have an adult in the room.” Future is bright.

We need to get to the next level....and we will.

Bama has set the bar: they have 12 - 11 wins seasons under Nicky....and we whooped em this year.

It is our time!

I had 8 wins as the ceiling this preseason, so this season was a complete success IMO

2023: Better in many areas
2024: I expect a great run at another NC.

when I look at the OL I can't help but think it is inevitable. It isn't... but just on the OL alone one can't help but have "high expectations"

A few days ago, I expressed frustration with opt outs because I believe this bowl victory to get to 10 wins was an important benchmark for the program, and the rant scolded me for wanting players to risk injury for a “meaningless win”.

Now, every recruit in the country is reading tweets and articles about Kelly’s magical 10 win turnaround in year one.

From where LSU was in January 2023 to now
I would say job well done
And it could have easily been 11 wins looking at the FSU opener

Very bright future and great season. Hard to believe anyone would downvote this thread.

Whooped em? I mean winning was awesome but to say whopped is simply incorrect. Y’all act like Bama is done. They are still here to stay. Not to say Kelly won’t string more wins together but let’s be honest here.

I thought 7-8 wins was ABSOLUTE ceiling. After FSU I hoped for 6 wins. Very happy the way it turned out. Lots of position battles leading into next season.

And yet, Bama bags probably the best recruiting class in the modern era. The #1 player from 3 different states. (All from 247) 7 of the top 25 HS players - 10 out of the top 50.

Contrast that to LSU with no players from the top 25 and only 3 in the top 50 (and only 5 in the top 100). At a certain point, it is unsustainable to counter that with transfers, IMHO.

I had 9 to 10 wins if we found good leadership. I'm always overly optimistic.

We are ahead of schedule in terms of program development. Kelly needs to continue to recruit young men with high character who are team oriented and can pass academically. Keep in mind this is just year 1 in what was essentially a major rebuild.

After the two previous seasons of most people in college football were asking what has happened to LSU, this season returned to us a lot of pride in the LSU football program.

I don’t think there are many people around college football who would have picked us to not only beat Bama but to win the west.

Job well done staff and players!
