Said he wants back in the NFL and hates the NIL transfer BS that college has become.

Would be a pretty bad look after courting the NFL last year and saying that was it and he's staying at Michigan.

He was gone last year but he didn't think he'd have to interview for a job then he blew the Vikings interview.

So he is pretty much going to the Broncos then?

Saints should fire Dennis Allen today and offer him the job with no interview required.

Wonder if Luke Fickell is upset for taking Wisconsin if Michigan ends up becoming open this year?

fickell was a captain at OSU. i don't think he'd entertain the UM job barring an offer of $15M/year, which he isn't worth

Would Matt Campbell be a top candidate if Harbaugh leaves

Lance Leipold to Michigan would be very interesting if we’re talking candidates with Midwest ties

as much as I hate hiring a first time head coach, I kinda want sherrone moore (current co-OC and OL) to be considered. he's been with UM for 5 years, has seen the transition of UM being good, to garbage during the covid years, to the re-birth and national prominence. he understands the culture, and how important the rivalries are, especially OSU. he also has lead the OL to 2 consecutive joe moore awards
upside is that he's 36, and could be here a VERY long time if he's good. downside is, he's never been a HC, and for UM to be your first HC job is a big task, especially following harbaugh, and the expectations going into next year (might be preseason #1)
jury is out on lance leipold. i honestly haven't seen any kansas games, so can't give an honest opinion, but the current culture and expectations of the team are sky high, even though we lost unexpectedly. the team can still have a damn good run for 1-2 years, and to bring in a brand new coach with a possibly brand new philosophy is cause for concern right now
matt campbell - I think he's an overachiever. i've seen a few ISU games, and I wasn't that impressed. i know they don't have 5 stars galore on the team, but I don't know if he would be a good fit here

Hence the excuse of NIL.

They need a Michigan man, they need Leslie Edwin Miles. Great coach that is considered an offensive genius by most.

Supposedly the Michigan AD is not all in with the NIL game, so it's not just an excuse.
