The suspect lead police on a chase just a bit ago.

This was the response involving pretty much all agencies in the area:

*Ignore the pothead in a trooper hat.

Riverside County sheriff's deputy shot and killed in Jurupa Valley; suspect being chased

quote:

A Riverside County sheriff's deputy was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in Jurupa Valley, according to a person briefed on the incident.

Officers were chasing a suspect in the shooting, who had been heading east on State Route 60 at last report, the source said.

The shooting happened in the 3900 block of Golden West Avenue, the sheriff's department said on Twitter while asking people to stay away from the area. Sheriff Chad Bianco planned to hold a press conference later Thursday.

The deputy was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead, said the person who had been briefed. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment publicly.

No other information was immediately available.

The SWAT vehicle ultimately stopped the truck by pinning it against a hill on the shoulder. It looks like the suspect was then killed.

Was watching abc7 when they started airing footage from the helicopter after he was killed.
I was surprised they zoomed in on dudes body laying in the truck.

Nice. But I wish they’d put a tenth of the effort into murders of people who aren’t law enforcement.

I think if you are driving like a maniac from the police, deadly force should be used before you kill an innocent bystander.

End the police chase quickly and with extreme prejudice.

Nobody else follows the constitution, why should we when it comes to this. Maybe if more criminals are shot and killed, that would help deter crime. Nothing else is.

Actual we have these laws because he is the one violating. He used force and took the life and liberty of another human. That has consequences that usually end your rights. Which is why we had capital punishment or why people lose certain rights as a felon.

And sometimes you’ve got to ask the question. How many peoples rights should be violated until you are comfortable with someone being put down?

Some cops may allow 21 people to lose their life and liberty before doing something.

If you ever need the cops at your house ASAP, say one was just shot in your front yard.

Not how it works. You don't lose your rights until found guilty by a jury of your peers. But this guy lost his life due to his unwillingness to surrender. No more or no less.
