I’ve recently gotten into Bonamassa. LOVE his stuff!
My top fave O Holy Night is from Johnny Mathis’s first Christmas album. He does it so beautifully.
I was impressed with The Indigo Girl’s version, too.
Jim Nabors and Glen Campbell get my air time for that song, too.

Aaron Neville. Not a classic vocalist but a great rendition none the less.
He’s my favorite, as well; you can feel his soul in that song.

My singer at the parish where I play. It's in New Orleans so most of you will never hear it.

I love the Mathis rendition. My mom had the original album and it was always on the record player during the Christmas holidays when I was a child. I inherited all of her albums when she passed and that one now gets played on my record player during the holidays.
But I had never heard the David Phelps rendition until this thread and I am in awe after watching the video. Johnny for sentimental reasons but Phelps is the most powerful and moving I have ever heard.

Rob Halford
No joke. If you’ve ever listened to Judas Priest you know he has range.

Phelps belts a C#5 at the end of that song which is extremely impressive for a male. Not just once but three times. And on that last note he hits it, sticks it with great pitch and resonance, and holds it for 10 full secs. An incredible live performance.
I love watching reaction videos to this performance on youtube.

If it’s a Christmas song the answer is either Nat King Cole or the Binger.
