You can’t believe this after watching Nuss with our receivers.

If anything we could have won more - and I’ll tell you what, Auburn and Arkansas would have been much less puckered.

Very simple concept that most people have no problem grasping;

Howard is the better/higher ceiling guy, but needed the redshirt year to acclimate to the college game.
Nussmeier is in his second year @ LSU, saw some live action last year, and going into the season was more advanced in his development- so he was the backup this year.

A year later, you project Howard to have caught and passed Nussmeier.

Combine that with this:
LSU was in rough shape, totally rebuilding O Line, not a particularly imposing defense, and not enough depth to also fill out a good special teams roster. You don't want to toss a freshman into the fire in that scenario, and it would also help if the QB could be mobile as well as experienced. Enter Daniels, a perfect specimen to handle what might be expected to be a rough year or so, and who also has just the right experience and eligibility to bridge over to when Howard is ready.

We saw this in the preseason and expected it to happen this way, I don't understand how so many people just choose to ignore it now.

I call bullshite....nobody goes to practive everyday, except the players and coaches...

If Howard is good enough, Kelly will play him, period.

He didn’t say his family was upset, he just said for next season, they want a fair shot for second string since he won’t be a redshirt.
