Not sure we win the west with out daniels.

I cannot prove that.

But turning a six yard sack into a 4+ yard gain was why we did so well.

I know aggy and Uga left a bad taste. But this was one of my favorite seasons.

Agree. Jayden Daniels made this season what it was. The O-line was rebuilt week after week to start the season. Our running backs aren’t very good.

If Nuss comes in and wins the job now I wouldn’t be mad. Won’t be mad if Daniels keeps it, either.

If Nuss gets the job, the running backs have to step up, or it will be like last year with Peetz.

What LSU NEEDS is a QB that can win. One that extend plays when the pocket breaks down. One that CAN keep drives alive. One that doesn't turn the ball over.
I've never seen so many sour grapes posters not happy with the FACT we beat Bama AND Ole Miss and won the SEC West.
We HAVE that QB!

Yeah even if somehow Nuss is more UGA than Southern, with Nuss in, we're not going to have a running game. Daniels created our running game by making the defense respect his ability on the zone-based run plays. Unless we somehow get a major talent injection at IOL and RB, our running game will be worse than mediocre.

Oh but wait till Walker Howard plays.. he’s the NEXT BEST QB to ever play the game for LSU.. he’s going to be LSU’s SAVIOR QB…LoL...you same clowns that keep bringing this shite up everyday, every week are going to be miserable for a long time especially if Daniels comes back next season… if he does come back, he’s going to be LSU’s starting QB.. that’s alot of crying from now till then… LoL

When I read this post this morning I realized it all had clicked…the missing piece. I have been trying to figure out this enigma and boom here it is! Nothing like a piping hot fresh take to start the week. I look forward to seeing more of your ground breaking insight.

The amount of shite Daniels gets on this board after the season he had is unreal. Is he the answer for next season? Maybe not, but let’s appreciate what he did for the team this season. He was the best guy for the team this year and he won us the Florida and Bama games.

The game has changed. While do not necessarily disagree, a mobile QB is a necessity in todays game. Doesn’t have to be a JD, but someone like Burrow that can escape, take what’s there & slide.

The only people that don’t think Jayden Daniels is a good QB are people on the rant.

Two truths can exist. LSU doesn’t win the west in 2022 without Daniels at QB. LSU very well may be better off with one of the other guys in 2023. I don’t think that is a very hard concept to grasp.

Daniels is the same now as he was his first start. He’s hit his ceiling.

That's not true. Daniels improved a ton during the season, and he had a three game period in which he was elite. But then he regressed for a couple of games, and lastly, he played a great half against Georgia before getting hurt.

I believe it is likely that we will see a much improved Daniels next season. If we don't, then CBK will have to switch to Nuss. But beware of wishing for that, because Nuss has yet to play near the level that Daniels reached during that Bama/Florida stretch.

And if you think the Georgia-Nuss was at that level you are sadly mistaken. It was a poor performance that got fairly good results because of lazy defense by Georgia.

People have already pointed this is, but this can’t be emphasized enough to show how asinine this statement was

"Opposing defense’s definitely figured out how to contain Daniels it showed from Arky to the end of the season. With the inability to consistently (he did connect on a few long passes) throw down field, something needs to be done."

Then why did he have 200 yds passing in 1st half against #1 defense in GA game? With a bum ankle and no running game and #99 in the backfield every play. You guys crack me up.

Maybe you should call CBK or sit in on a staff meet. They are probably looking for solid input from guys like you.
