They pulled him over for no license plates, then smelled weed and saw a knife in the console so they called and waited for backup and wanted him to exit the car. He refused and fought with police trying to remove him. So he hires a civil rights attorney. Same old story.

If the police don’t have anything to hide, why would they object to an investigation?

This is why it was better when weed was illegal. The scent was enough for reasonable suspicion. With it being legal, it makes things harder.

Weed or not. If the stop was legal which it appears it was , then you are obligated to exit the vehicle if requested

Protect and serve! Dude definitely got served, that's for sure. Thin blue line strikes again and again and...you get the point.

It's Colorado. I can smell weed everywhere when I'm there.

Hell, yesterday morning I was in LAX Airport and smelled weed in the airport while checking in.

Well the Civil Rights attorney says his client "didn't feel like he did anything wrong" so there you have it.

Come to the school where I work and you can witness countless examples of similar defiance on a daily basis.

Funny thing is, an identifiable subgroup comprising 32% of the student population accounts for approximately 82% of the disciplinary infractions - but we're not allowed to mention that, right?

So a lawyer is doing what he was hired to do? What's the story?
