Hopefully her father hasn’t murdered any cold case victims.

Southern gentleman from Tuscaloosa,
Said “well any old cousin will do, suh,
But if you incest, I like sisters the best,
I find all my aunts quite a bit loosah’”

It's not mine. It's my wife's. If she kills me, I want people to figure it out.

My wife's birth father got one from his other kids for Christmas a few years ago. CONGRATS, he got a new kid too!

I got it as a gift but kind of wish I didn't freely put my DNA info into a public system.

Do you really want to rat out all of her family tree members and the next few generations of your children and their succeeding generations?

1. It's been known to be a DNA database to various governments around the world. Not good.

2. The ancestry stuff is bullshite. You can give the same sample to the same company several times and it comes back with completely different results each time. It's been proven because people have tested this. It's nothing but a waste of money.

Don't do it.

Im too distrustful to send my DNA to some corporation but some of my family used Ancestry and found some really cool info on our family tree history. Traced back to one distant relative in the Revolutionary War, and actually found a photo we never knew existed of my great x3 grandfather, that is hanging on a wall in a Cracker Barrel in south Texas. He was from north Tennessee and come to find out Cracker Barrel is based in that area and sources all the decor for their restaurants from antique dealers, presumably many in TN.

I can't say if the other sites are any better or worse, but apparently Ancestry has a lot of dedicated users, some of which who take photos of the pictures with names hanging in Cracker Barrels and upload them in case a descendant stumbles across it.
