Good luck When the people you are dealing with unironically complain about the exclusionary nature of your definition you won't make any progress. The definition of the word definition requires being exclusionary. If a word doesn't exclude some concepts, things, or people from a meaning then a definition lacks meaning.

Thanks. There’s a push to use the original verbiage and definitions from decades ago, and I use it to define myself. I think a lot of people are who feel similar.

The thing is, that the trenders will spew all sorts of “smash the binary” garbage, then ride the coat tails of actual transsexuals to have some sort of legitimacy. Makes me want to yank my hair out.

Can I ask you a serious question? Why do you think there has been an all out push to label anything and everything, and pigeonhole what people are by those labels? This generation seems to collect labels like Pokémon.
And define who they are by that.

I mean, you are a man who chooses to live as a woman, but is that your whole identity? I mean, I define myself by my hobbies and what I do and what I like, the things I enjoy. Who and how I like to bonk isn’t exactly on the list I present people.

Why do you think there is this push to make sexuality the defining feature of who someone is, and further dictate their actions and identity by such labels. (Which we all know don’t last. I mean who among is the same person we were as a teen or young adult?)

can you give some insight on this? From your perspective?

Sure.

The label thing is definitely a recent trend, but probably no different than when kids were goths, or nerds, punks, jocks, dweebies, dickheads, motorheads, etc. guys wore letter jackets and girls wore their boyfriend’s letter jackets. Now that there is much more interaction and inclusivity in places like high school, to stand out means you slap on a label and that’s their way of being special. Just my .02

Dude, I have more hobbies than you can shake a stick at. Scale models, Gundam, 40K, Battletech, HO trains, Restoring old RC cars, but things like Ballet and music, and building miniature houses. I camp a lot, buy records, hang with family and friends, and am much more than just “trans” in my real life, and that’s how I live it.

My opinion is that It’s not inherently a sexuality but an identity. Because we are trying to be who we are inside, as our core selves and being. The sexuality component is part of us, just like anyone else here on the OT. I mean, everyone who is actually trans, their sexuality could run the gamut of completely asexual, homo, hetero, bi, pan, I.e. it would completely differ. No different than any kink an OT’r would have. Who I am, and who I want to bonk are completely separate things.

Just some rambling

Yeah, I was a metalhead/goth. I got my nipples pierced, grew my hair long, wore leather, etc. I was confused about some stuff. I had dumb opinions because I knew everything.

But nowadays they’d have labeled me as some sort of mentally ill something sexual. They pump kids with hormones, convince them they were born wrong, promote body mutilation, etc.

It’s insane.

The best way to get this disease off leftism out of our schools is for good people to start running for-and winning-these open school board slots.

More than likely this person was an opportunistic criminal who used being Trans as a ruse. 100% chance he’s heterosexual and not Trans.

These are tourists staring at a punk in 1984. Tourists. In L.A. gawking at people different from them.

You mean the nutjobs that are screaming at people for not kowtowing to their whims about xenogenders and being animals and ridiculous pronouns? No, they demand that the entire world acquiesce to their delusions or else they are bigoted, racist, sexist, whatever-phobic.

Young progs are the most authoritarian generation yet. It’s disturbing.

Oh, you had an opinion that was the norm 10-15 years ago and posted it somewhere? They’ll dig it up and have you cancelled. Have your livelihood taken from you.

Tolerant they are anything but. They are little fascists under a rainbow flag.

That's really debatable at best. Just say something one finds offensive and you're likely to be swarmed by a mob of them unironically claiming to be the victims

That’s people reacting to someone who’s appearance is based on getting that reaction.

The funny thing about the picture is you could pretty much reverse the dress and t would reflect 2022.

College aged Ted McGinley would be the one being derided and mocked by a group of kids with blue hair, tattoos, and piercings

You can find that on either side of the spectrum and with every generation. But I’ve found Gen Z to be pretty awesome
