Kelly is a disgrace to the many great American astronauts. Of the dozens of them I knew and worked with for 35 years, only John Glenn disappointed me in his politics - was still a great astronaut, but I was not proud of how he represented the nation in senate.
I didn't know Kelly personally, but have him the automatic respect that anyone who goes thru the astronaut commander/pilot regimen is due. He was a Mission Specialist I think, but I respected those guys too until they lost it.
He has no basis for respect left from me. Awful American.

Honestly I'm feeling similar.
