He has the best arm in LSU’s QB room already and has a very high football IQ.

I just very seriously doubt that and coaches always hype up their own players for the better because that player can reflect on their own coaching abilities.

I'm sure Howard is VERY good but the claims he is off the charts, to me, are just way too much hype and deeply unfair to Howard.

He's being setup to fail by the very fanbase that claims to love him.

So Daniels is returning to LSU? Boutte will be sorely disappointed…

The defenses got better

Has a quick, compact throwing motion with the ability to drive the ball downfield from the pocket and off-platform. Does a nice job of changing ball speed and putting touch on throws.

I want to be hopeful for him, either at LSU or in the NFL, but I am hesitant to trust it will happen.

Having watched him this year I can only say he seems to have those qualities that leads to eventual success. I would draft him.

I think he can see where to go with the ball. There's just a hesitancy to trust it right away.

It's mental process speed.

The IQ test has 4 parts: fluid reasoning, knowledge, quantitative reasoning, visual-spatial processing and working memory.

IMO recruits, especially QBs should at least be tested on the visual-spatial processing part of the IQ test for a more complete evaluation.

Besides QB, the sport where mental processing speed is the most apparent is basketball. By the time kids reach the NBA they are all geniuses on the mental processing speed level. But there are always very athletic kids that can jump out of the building but never make it to the next level and it leaves coaches and fans baffled that they couldn't make it. If the player does everything else right and still can't put it together on the court it's usually their processing speed holding them back.

If he's a second or third-rounder or even late first to a team that doesn't have an immediate need, I would definitely take that chance. The potential upside is tremendous.

JD really got a wake up call in 2021, 10 TD’s and 10 ints really messed with his head. It was the wake up call that his career was over if he kept turning the ball over. Mettenberger had the same issue waiting til guys were wide open. ZM was 12/7 with 352 attempts in his jr year and 22/8 on 296 attempts his senior year being cautious. Wanted to play in NFL so was more careful. Had the blessing of the coaches, just like JD has.

All of you discounting Daniels need to pump the brakes. He may grow now that he has game experience with this team and and off season to work on his weakness. He has the best coaching of his life.

Nuss can play and will keep getting better. Howard is the unknown in the equation. Our starter next year will be a good qb, I think that is assured

I found it interesting they have Nuss rated the 11th best qb in next years draft class even with the limited sample size

Why does this matter? It should be a bio description not a scoutable quality. Just cause my dad is an amazing artist, doesn't mean I can draw for shite; but I do have dexterous hands that are good for other things.

The best comparison for Nussmeier is probably John Fourcade, the Ole Miss and Saints quarterback from years ago, though Fourcade was much more of a runner.

He would make some unbelievable plays, but he would also make some absolutely boneheaded mistakes because he wanted to hit the big play, even when it wasn't there. Led to lots of interceptions and fumbles. It was just in his DNA, and no amount of coaching or experience was going to change that.

Nussmeier seems, at least to me, to be a duplicate of Fourcade, save the running ability.

Is it me, or do Nuss and Walker's scouting reports read similarly?
