The Coach Prime experiment will flame out quickly at the Power 5 level with equal or lesser talent than anyone. The only bad thing is that when it does, the first comments will be “he didn’t have the resources at CU!”

I'm no fan of the Deion "persona" but his message to his teams seem to be pretty commendable

I mean same with Butch Jones. Same with Ed Orgeron honestly. Saying it is one thing, doing it is another.

Same for me I guess? If I could only have BK as my assistant head coach I could blow spit bubbles and compete in the SEC. I don’t know how any LSU fan can argue that having an extremely competent head coach isn’t insanely important after seeing what Brian Kelly brings to the table in terms of sustainability and structure compared to Ed Orgeron.

I just don’t see it. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think the media is going to push this guy like it’s going out of style and he’ll never come close to actually living up to the hype they’re creating. He’s not a football coach

Deion and CU being in college football talks is good for the sport. I hope he does well I'm not worried about them winning a championship. Having CU good is good or relevant again after like 30yrs is a plus. We all wish Nebraska could do the same just for the excitement in College Football. Them going 3-8 is a win after this past year. Lol

I don’t want him to fail, I just think he’s going to. For the most part, you can’t just jump into power 5 ball and succeed right away. I appreciate his insistence on being called “coach prime” and walk up music to the press conference and all, but shticks never work at this level.

The same people hyping up Deion is the same people who shite on coach on for not being an OC or DC. Won’t give Coach O any credit but act like Deion is the next coming of Nick Saban.

Deion selling it is going to be more intriguing than a normal coach and they can sell immediate playing time because their roster is complete trash.

Galloway is constantly trying to recruit guys to LSU on Twitter. Not saying it’s impossible for him to flip, but he seems really locked in to LSU.

I was just about to say the same thing.

He just tweeted at Toviano and Ricks yesterday.

Deion probably offered every player in the top 300. He’s going to have to since he apparently just kicked every incumbent off the Colorado team.

Why? They’ve never had any success that didn’t come with a major scandal. Their fans don’t give a shite. Their administration acts like football and athletics in general are a burden.

They just happened to be good at the time EA sports started putting out CFB games. And a lot of people on this board were kids at the time.

They’re like Miami with even less historical relevance.

Coach Prime is going to get a ton of good players. Let’s revisit after next signing day….going to be some hurt feelings across the country.

Not saying the on field success will be there yet but I know for a fact the players will flock to him.

ETA: not saying he’ll pull any LSU guys this cycle either

People want to see new teams at least decent or in the talks just for news purpose. Like i said I'm not saying they will win a Championship but seeing a Colorado or Nebraska good after 30yrs would be fun just for a year. Lol

Dont think anyone is saying Deion will be next Nick Saban. Hell if he can do a quarter of Nick did that is good. Lmao

And the "legendary" Sanders is recruiting is based off of his son and a single recruit. These kids were in diapers when Deion last played in the NFL. They don't care about playing for Deion Sanders. They only vaguely know who he is. Let's not forget that Harold Perkins didn't know who Michael Jordan was until Brian Kelly told him after the flu game, and I'm sure the extent of his knowledge today is "like Lebron James but old".

Maybe I'll eat those words, but based off of what he said in his first meeting with the team, I doubt it. He seemed very in over his head, and he doesn't really have time to steal anybody in the dangerous year, this year.

If prime comes in and offers one of your four stars $250,000 when you have valued every four-star at about maybe $100,000 each why wouldn’t one want to leave every now and then we don’t have unlimited funds. It’s going to happen it’s the new way of college football Brian Kelly has already said as much. He has already said we are not going to race to the bottom of the NIL hole with every recruit. we will prioritize them. Meaning we will be outbid from time to time.

Don’t be surprised kids do this from time to time even with us.

Not saying either of these two will. But obviously some will.
