Less than half of Brits Identify as Christian

quote:

Less than half of people in England and Wales are Christian, the census has revealed, with both atheism and Islam making major gains.

The majority of people in both England and Wales are not Christian for the first time probably since the 7th century AD, data from the 2021 census published on Tuesday has revealed.

According to the information released by Britain’s Office of National Statistics, both England and Wales have lost their status as majority-Christian nations, with only 46.3 per cent of the population of England reporting themselves as being Christian, while only 43.6 per cent of the Welsh population now describe themselves as being adherents to a denomination of Christianity.

While the English cast aside their Christian heritage, the Muslims will, if anything, become more belligerent and aggressive in their faith. At the current rate of immigration, England will likely have more Muslim adherents than Christian in a century, perhaps less.

Moslims doing what they do. Christians doing what they do to not hurt feelings. If only people warned them, based on historical facts, how it will be once they take over.

Didnt the new king swear to promote the Christian God when he took over? I know I know it's all for show, but just recall that when I heard a piece of his crowning.

Wokeness is the dominant religion in western Europe. Islam and Christianity aren't shite when the governments themselves are woke.

When we went to London in 2002 and again in 2004, there was a large number of Muslims. Our tour guide pointed out that housing in London is extremely expensive, so many Muslims can afford to move into apartments and condos in London. Go figure!

One of the signs of the last days, according to 1 Timothy 4:1, is that some would fall away from the faith. In that verse, Paul tells us, “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (NIV).

Social Credit
Digital money
Hundreds of churches burned across Europe the past 4 years
Covid lockdowns and elimination of freedoms
Promotion of gender choice to children
Promotion of “Trans” lifestyle (mentally ill)
Promotion of Gay lifestyle
Promotion of bi-racial marriages
Promotion of abortion
Promotion of children belonging to the state

If this isn’t following deceiving spirits and demons I don’t know what is.

The Christian-based Constitution (Rights come from God) lent extraordinary freedom of the which common folk had never enjoyed. Albeit the Founders knew that such would only function for “a moral and religious people “. And given that ‘Morality’ outside of Religious/God principle is subjective, then it’s like a one-legged person trying to walk. “Where there is no vision (Truth) my people die”. Die off coming. But we won’t be able to blame God. Only our own Human frailty. Lord have mercy on them who worship Love.

Their whole branch of Christianity was made up so a king could get divorced, so are any of them really Christian to begin with?

Religions come and go, cultures evolve.

The same trend is currently happening in the US.

In what meaningful way is the U.S. a Christian nation? When was the last time you personally told a stranger about Christ and shared the gospel?

I see this as a positive. Mixing religion and government has historically been problematic.

Better go see Westminster Abby while you can. Chuck's coronation will probably be the last one.

The Bible is God's word.....

"I adjure thee in the sight of God, and of Jesus Christ, who is to be the judge of living and dead, in the name of his coming, and of his kingdom, preach the word, dwelling upon it continually, welcome or unwelcome; bring home wrong-doing, comfort the waverer, rebuke the sinner, with all the patience of a teacher. The time will surely come, when men will grow tired of sound doctrine, always itching to hear something fresh; and so they will provide themselves with a continuous succession of new teachers, as the whim takes them, turning a deaf ear to the truth, bestowing their attention on fables instead. "It is for thee to be on the watch, to accept every hardship, to employ thyself in preaching the gospel, and perform every duty of thy office, keeping a sober mind. As for me, my blood already flows in sacrifice; the time has nearly come when I can go free. I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have redeemed my pledge;[1] I look forward to the prize that is waiting for me, the prize I have earned. The Lord, the judge whose award never goes amiss, will grant it to me when that day comes; to me". - 2 Timothy 4:1-8

Jesus, I trust in you.
