Well the OP asked about self defense spray for some females. Not sure how many women are going to want to lug around a hammer or a can of wasp spray.

Honestly, I like my feet first because I can run away from most bad situations but when the SHTF I personally prefer my knife in a close quarters situation but would really prefer not to get that close. You know that old saying about bringing a knife to a gun fight? On a complete hi-jack of an already derailed thread, our head BJJ instructor is a huge knife fighting guy so we drill knife fighting a lot on off days where it is just instructors doing dumb shite. We train with rubber knives obviously. I will say this, knife fighting does wonders for hand speed and those fricking rubber knives still hurt like hell, but you aren't getting shredded like a steak at Benny Hanna's either.

What difference does it make if it is cheap or not if it saves your life.

Just saw last week where some jackass was exposing himself at a drive up window. The employee, a girl I think, threw hot coffee in his lap. Is that the intended purpose of a cup of coffee????

Don’t use a handgun with defense rounds…..
Better use target ammo only.

For God’s sake, don’t shoot him with a gun that has a trigger job or any modifications.

Maybe the current Mace type sprays have come a long way but years ago I sprayed several brands.

An old man could pee with a better stream.

I really don’t care what somebody uses. A hammer, an ice pick, a 2x4, a fireplace poker,
brake cleaner, hornet spray, hot coffee, boiling pot of water, I don’t care.

People are sue crazy but in a life or death situation, you are trying to stay alive.

im looking at the Fox 1.4 and theres an option for stream or cone. Which would be best for a 10 y/o girl? Id like to get one for my daughter but im not sure shed have the ability to aim accurately if she needed to use it.

I'd say "cone" for most females. It has fewer tiny droplets than the old "fog" nozzle, and almost has the range of the "stream" nozzle.

More guys has an inherent ability to aim by pointing - so the stream nozzle is a better choice in many cases. It shoots a stream like a water pistol (but with super "hot" water).

P.S> You have to order it (from Fox Labs or Amazon). I don't know of any local retailer that sells it.

Thanks. I just bought the cone.

I got my wife something like this but she won’t use it. Says it’s too big for her purse or whatever.
She won’t carry a pistol either.
