frick off and suck a dick.

I prey you don’t have to live through a tornado at any point in your life and wonder if people you care about are alive or not for a couple hours.

That's no bueno hope there were no serious injuries, even though that seems unlikely.

Awful. Especially this time of year. Haven't heard of any fatalities in that area, so that is good.

The tornado that killed 2 in north Montgomery County looks to have crossed 231 right at Jasmine Hill Rd. Just below the old rest area in Blue Ridge.

Another good example of why you don't take to heart the colors and borders on a map.

I am always fascinated at how accurate these predictions end up being.

And this one can't really be filed as one of the most accurate. It was a struggle to get that placement nailed down, and really did become kind of a "now-cast".

I said last night that the SPC outlook and Nadocast combined for pretty much a perfect forecast.

This was Nadocast's Day 2 outlook:

It refined a bit North on Day 1:

SPC started out too far North and refined South as time went on. They ended up pretty much meeting in the middle.

I felt fairly early on that the Southern mode was the bigger threat primarily due to CAMs (and even long range models) favoring really messy development to the North. I really didn't see Memphis being in play for a big tornado threat. As the forecasts rolled that became pretty evident.

All-in-all, though we have to feel pretty lucky/blessed to have gotten only what we got. We had discrete/semi-discrete cells in a wide open warm sector all day long. We saw numerous cell mergers that should have really ramped up those storms, but they just couldn't sustain their updrafts early in the day. After dark, when the LLJ got cranking (even though it was a bit displaced from the best action), we saw much better structure on storms that allowed them to root and take advantage of all the shear over the area.

7 tornadoes confirmed so far. The Montgomery County tornado has been given a preliminary rating of EF2. A tree fell on a mobile home, killing two and injuring one. Another injury was reported when another mobile home earlier in the tornado's path was flipped.

Any reports or pictures from the Caldwell Parish tornado. I heard it was pretty torn up in the community of Copenhagen. It was a very large wedge tornado.
