Is it just me or is Wednesday a bit if a Mary Sue? She’s literally good at everything and smarter than everyone else.

I’m loving Wednesday. Jenna Ortega is fantastic and cute as a button as Wednesday.

I love Luis Guzeman but he doesn’t fit the role. Neither does Catherine Zeta Jones. They both were terrible options.

They did insert some wokeness, but it’s not main characters or main topics. I guess we must expect some wokeness in all shows now.

It’s a good show. It has brilliant moments of hilarity that hit out of nowhere, at times.

I mean, her chest and shoulders are phenomenal but that’s not a face/makeup job that has me thinking she’s looking good.

In her late 20s and early 30s, CZJ was one of the most-beautiful women on the planet. Now, she is 53 years of age and could easily still pass for mid- to late-30s.

My teen daughters convinced me to watch this show, and I am glad they did. It is big fun.

Tony Dalton gets my vote.

Same.

Everything about the show is great, save for that one casting. He just sticks out like a sore thumb.

And it’s not any commentary on his acting, he’s just not the right guy.

Like Harsin @ Auburn.

Or the elf/hobbits/dwarf of color.

Just simply miscast.

Is it appropriate for an 11 year old or too dark? How's the language?

The language is fine. It is a dark comedy and she may not get some of the jokes. Some of them throwback to the original 1960's series. There are some gore/slasher scenes from mythical animal/monster attacks that may be a bit startling.

I think it's okay to show it too her but you need to watch it with her to explain some of the throwback stuff.

One example was a scene that requires to snap your fingers twice..like the opening of the 1960's tv show.

IDK, not so much the language but there are a couple of scenes which are on the graphic side. A broken neck in a car accident, some body parts found in the woods... but nothing too over the top.

As an aside, am I the only one who LOVED the music from this show?

I’m about 3.5 episodes in. Jenna is crushing it. Bigger roles should be coming her way on the horizon imo.

The poor girl is an excellent actress, but she faces a major problem. She is 20yo and only 5’1” tall. She is done growing, and she can only play teens for a few more years.

It is a shame, but I am afraid that it is career-limiting for her.

Does Hollywood really have many roles for an adult actress the height of the navel of her male co-star? She can only co-star with Johnny Galecki in so many films.

It may surprise you to learn ScarJo is a mere 5’3 same as Winona Ryder and Isla Fisher and Natalie Portman.

Emilia Clarke Is 5’2.

Anna Kendrick is 5’2.

Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek and Kristen Bell are 5’1.

Granted, she’s not nearly as well endowed as most on this list and is very lean and willowy for her size, but a few pounds of muscle and some glutes and she’d be right there.

If she’s good, she’s good.

Absolutely. CZJ in Zorro was peak and pretty extraordinary.

I don't know if you were watching it on a 2005 Motorola RZR but she looked rough on my 4k tv. It looked like she had a pound and a half of makeup on and you could still see rough spots under all that.

The rest of the show was very solid. Kept you guessing until the end. I'm curious if you could get it all and actually KNOW who the villains were until the end. Everyone will say they knew, but you thought someone. Curious, if the clues were there on screen to KNOW.

I agree that Gomez was a sore thumb and I thought they should have gone younger for Morticia too. They didn't need a name attached to Addams family property.

They kept Wednesday guessing as well.

I was joking with my teen daughters that I have never seen a movie or television series in which the hero was so wrong so often in identifying the bad guy.

She's 53. I mean, cmon now.
As for the show, it is really good. I'm surprised it is not being talked about more.

That’s fine, she’s 53 but in no world ,outside of the drug induced one, could she pass for mid to late 30s.

Love the show but sometimes all
I could feel is that it was an 8 episode Aubrey Plaza impersonation from parks and Rec… and that’s not meant as an insult.
