Injuries are piling up for the defending champions.

No Nkunku
No Pogba
No Kante

And they are still pretty stacked

As this board knows, 4 of the last 5 World Cup champions haven’t survived group play. How far do y’all have France going?

It’s hard to count out a team like a France with talent all over including Benzema and Mbappe up top. But I’m still not sold on their young center mids (and yes I know they are incredibly talented and play for Real)

I wonder if they call up an injury replacement considering they didn't think anyone was good enough for the 26th spot.

Didn’t they fill that spot yesterday?

I see France going further than roster and history would suggest just because they almost seem to win in spite of their talent and playing a rather dull style

Don't think they win but I see them breaking the group stage curse and at least QF, maybe semi

But if you look at the midfield vs 2018 it seems unproven even if the players are young studs

Watched the video of it, no idea what Camavinga is doing putting in a challenge like that in training before the biggest int tournament in the world.

Wasn’t any worse than KDB on Januzaj in 2018 in the lead up.

Competitive players go all out in practice. shite happens. Camavinga isn’t to blame.

Regardless, very gutted for N’Kunku. Dude is an absolute stud and RBL and himself will miss out on some extra cash for him missing.

Its just a short little snippet. Obviously I'm not saying Camavinga had any malicious intent, just find it kind of reckless in a training setting.

Hard to blame Camavinga based on that clip. I can’t even really tell how he hurt his knee.

Tough, tough luck. Was looking forward to seeing him in the tourney. Been a lot of fun to watch the past couple seasons and hoped he'd be one of the new stars on the scene.

You need to rewatch the video in slow motion. Camavinga didnt do anything to him, doesnt even look like he touches him. Dudes left knee is hurt, which isnt the side of the challenge.

I'll actually be quite gutted if FFF don't advance - I'm supporting Les Bleus and Denmark out of this group.

Australia stitched up me good mate last year and they can get bent

You said the French team wasn’t French anymore and you couldn’t support them. Man your shtick is lame but at least be consistent.

Glad I didn't make my picks yet.
