I don't think people here are weighting how much of an impact weather had on this game

CJ Stroud stats against Northwestern when there was a 33 mph wind, and I believe 55 degrees:

10/26 38.5% 76 yards 0 TD 0 Int

The weather Saturday was around 35-37 degrees with a 15 mph wind I belive. Wind chill was high 20's to 30. This is likely the last or only game of the season that will be like this.

I'm not as discouraged as others because the weather 100% has a massive effect on quarterbacks.

33 mph wind isn't remotely close to 15 mph wind.

There were a lot of factors that caused that game. Weather, hangover game, may have been some sick players, etc.

I don’t know why some people are freaking out so bad about it in this board. This team has proven they can play very well when need be. Besides, at this point, we are playing with house money. Nobody expected us to be where we are now this year.

I'm more comfortable with the idea that he had some type of flu as an explanation for his very mediocre performance yesterday.

Those Mensa members in Arkansas literally sprayed the snow with water because they thought it would melt the snow.

It was sunny and with all those pads on and helmet and esentially running gassers for 60 minutes and lineman wrestling each other for 60 minutes you don’t feel the cold at all. It was great football weather because of the sun

The winds averaged 12 mph, thats not enough to really slow down the passing game like the 35-40mph winds between ohio st and northwestern. Cold had nothing to do with it. It was either a flu bug thru the team or just an emotional letdown coming off bama

Yeah, the wind was gusting to 55 at Northwestern. Not a good comparison really

They knew what they were doing. They froze the field to neutralize LSU's passing game. It worked. They still lost.

Curious to know how kelly felt about the process they used on the field. Spraying it with water backfired is what was said on the broadcast.

WAIT!?!?! they really did that?? - sprayed it with water?? in freezing weather???

You do that sometimes to protect tender vegetation from a severe cold - but certainly not to get rid of the ice.

Cold weather
Road game
Early start
Week after a big win
One-sided rivalry where they hate us more than we hate them

Under all those conditions, we won. I'll take it any way we can get it.

The Hog crowd was not dead as predicted - great fans. They were very lively. Not sure why play calling was so conservative. The field looked clear and it was a beautiful day. The 1/2 inch of snow was a nice touch, but not a problem. It did not feel as cold as it was presented. Shoutout to the Fred's bartenders on row 32 at the 50 yard line.

This team needed a "you're not as good as you think you are" type game. Hopefully we can get back some offensive rhythm against UAB

I was there and it was rough. We had a solid layer of ice on our bleachers for most of th 1st quarter. That ball had to be hard and cold as a rock. I think the Daniels Int slipped out his hand... for sure lead to some of the fumbles too.

We all knew it was a trap game...I don't know why anyone is shocked that it was an ice bowl trap game
