Hey. Want to take the wife to Natchez next Wednesday or Thursday night for an evening/ night. Would like to park the car and walk from where we’re staying to a few bars and restaurants.
Any live music next week?

Where should we stay?

Thanks for the help.

Stay at Monmouth.
And you can have dinner in the dining room of the plantation.

Second this. Stayed there on my wedding night. Enjoyed it a lot. Good place for some nice pictures too. Awesome breakfast.

The Grand Hotel is on the river and you can walk to most places from there.

Agree that the Grand has a great location but stayed there with the wife and once inside it just seemed like any random Hampton Inn. It did have a nice river view, but just wasn’t what we were expecting.

We stay at the Dunleith. Really like the bar downstairs in the carriage house.

There are 3 or 4 rooms above the Under the Hill Saloon that are very nice. Best view of the river in Natchez.
It's called the Mark Twain Guest House.

Based on your desire to park and walk, don’t go to Dunleith or Monmouth. I like them both, but its not walkable to the downtown action. Try Natchez Guest House, The Grand Hotel or the Casino hotel if you prefer corporate style.

BnB- Pleasant Hill
Hotel- The Grand (like someone mentioned it's pretty generic on the inside but good location)
Other- River Walk Inn- rooms above 100 main right next to the Grand. Very nice place with balcony overlooking the river.

Also, Oak Hill Inn has won numerous awards for being best BnB in America so that may be worth a look. On the outskirts of downtown but a short walk to many things.

I agree. It isn’t a 5 star hotel but it seemed to fit what OP was looking for

Agree with this. We go to Natchez a lot--a couple of weeks ago in fact -- and usually stay at Monmouth. We have probably stayed in every building there at this point, but we don't mind driving. My in-laws always stay at the Grand because they like to be in the middle of things.

Damn, hopefully they'll do something with the space.

It's allegedly the oldest structure in Natchez (1769).

Killed a few brain cells there and et some good grub there too.
