I hate identity politics. But some how Republicans need to expand their base

Right now it feels like our base is simply white guys between 30 and 60 that dont live in urban areas. I know there has been alot of talk of getting Hispanics and black men, but the results still haven't beared that out yet.
The struggle is that the other side can simply pander, and even if we tried to pander, they would simply further out pander us. And by nature, our entire agenda is the opposite of pandering. And the only demo that doesn't care about pandering is our base demo. So not sure how to approach it without pandering.
But our base demographic is shrinking and there doesn't appear to be any signs of that trend reversing. So unless we can figure out a way to make actual inroads or reverse our declining base demographic, the GOP and conservatism is just not going to last.

There are millions of whites that simply don't vote. If they were actually targeted and organized the GOP would clean house. But saying White to the GOP is like a cross to a vampire.

See all the calm after this election? We have a problem.

stop the cheating first, then let's see how republicans are really doing

Trump did expand our base. He needs to move on so that our next great leader can keep those gains of working class moderates and Hispanics but also bring back the suburban moms.

We as republicans don’t cheat. You can put that up your arse.

We should have targeted outreach programs and registration drives at Vocational schools, Cabelas, Bass Pro, FFA Events, etc. etc. That shite is low hanging fruit.
But being conservative is kind of inherently lazy on these types of events. Except florida...i think they had a successful registration effort the last two years.

a real simple way that Republicans could get so much more votes is to simply stop caring so much about dumb social issues.
The fight against LGBT is a losing one longterm and yet there are still so many who voted against gay marriage this year.
Keep it about actual spending/taxing policies and I think they could easily win.

what?
I'm saying we can't go around squawking about "changing this or that" when rampant cheating is the reason Republicans are losing or elections are close in the first place.
FIX THAT FIRST, then see where we are.
Florida proved that democratic voters are just a mirage when voting practices get cleaned up. He went from a 3% winner in the last election to a 20% winner in this one and republicans swept the state.

If expanding your base means abandoning your principles then we will truly have uniparties.

Well when your identity is completely based on "individualism" good luck getting collective efforts.

It's time to bring Libertarians into the fold. A little give and take could go a long way.
Also, the Republican majority egislatures of Red states must pass voter laws outlawing ballot harvesting, mass mail in ballots and institute voter ID's. A lot of the ballot counts for Dems aren't actual people voting but voting by proxy, if you will. If stricter voter laws were in place, like Florida, and there was an actual chance of being prosecuted for voter fraud, then I think you would see a lot of conservatives winning at the ballot box. I find it hard to believe that progressives outnumber conservatives in our country at the moment.

The largest shift to the GOP by demographic was blacks and Hispanics this cycle

Most people don't vote on policy anymore. Politics has changed, and the right hasn't figured it out.

I was disappointed by the breakdown of Black and Hispanic voters. It was around 40% for Hispanics and 12% for Blacks. It looks like Florida accounted for most of that increase, some in Texas, but not much anywhere else. Very disappointing considering the pre-election excitement about the movement of both to the GOP. They have to do better or they will continue to lose elections.

If our side wasn’t corrupt too they would run on massive government spending cuts and lower taxes .

perhaps not as much, but Rs focusing on so much negativity on social issues brings out the Ds to vote. A lot of people vote against a party rather than for it. We learned this a lot in 2018-current with Trump.
And Republicans keep giving the left plenty to be angry about which has nothing to do with policy. It may energize some on the far right who are just filled with hatred of other people, but I think it does a lot more harm than good for them.
