I would agree with most of that but disagree a little in part and I think he missed a couple huge factors, namely:
Ballot harvesting. Democrat voters tend to be lazy. Now the Party has a system that brings the ballots to the voters and it is well organized to make those votes a reality.
The significant shift in values and views on government. This is indoctrinated and it is going to be difficult for any real conservative candidate to change. I think we are in multi generational shift to the left.
I also think his take on candidate quality is flawed because there were a lot of bad Democrat candidates that won last night, which I think supports my factors listed above.
