Will the Astros retain JV and Yuli?
I sure hope so.

Cubs catcher Willson Contreras was one of the biggest trade candidates not to be moved at the summer trade deadline, but according to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Astros came close to completing a deal for the All-Star. Astros starter Jose Urquidy would’ve gone to Chicago in a straight one-for-one swap, which was agreed upon pending ownership approval. The Astros never got the green light from ownership, the deal collapsed, and the players remained with their respective teams.

Degrom and Bogarts both opted out.
Degrom would look good w/a tomahawk across his chest.

According to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers are not pursuing Correa "in part out of concern that a sizable portion of their fan base would not welcome the move." That is due to the fact, as Rosenthal says, that Correa was "the most outspoken member" of the 2017 Houston Astros team that was found guilty of illegally stealing signs. That Astros team, of course, beat the Dodgers in that year's World Series.

My Reds finally making some hot stove noise. Signed Wil Myers to a 1 year, 7.5 million dollar deal that could get to 9.5 million. Also, signed Curt Casali to a two year deal, and DFA'd Moose who is owed 22 million. We are taking the NL Central now!!! Ok, maybe not. We'll just try not to lose 100 games or more again.

Who's the more underrated player? Adolis Garcia, or Steven Kwan?

Aren’t you the resident NY Yankees super fan?
We need a 2023 season long thread. Where else can we talk about future hall of famer Volpe and the coming end-of-camp deals?

BREAKING: According to sources, MLB sent a memorandum to all 30 teams today, announcing ways it will step up efforts to stop the use of "sticky stuff" by pitchers this season.
Feels good not to be a fan of a cheating team.
Just going to say that I personally would never downvote a poster simply for being a fan of a certain team. Just screams loser. Y’all do you, though.
