If you don’t have instagram (I don’t) , it offers you the option to download. Click on “not now” and you can watch without downloading.

I don’t know if this is the problem for anyone else who can’t see stuff on Instagram, I figured out it was my VPN. I have to pause my VPN if I want to see anything on Instagram.
