yeah, not sure what OP is going for here unless its some sort of "defund the police" thing.

basically Dez said there were a bunch of adults around that should have intervened and didn't

Rece Davis was arguing that the cops weren’t allowed to intervene because

“Legally, if you put your hands on someone, you have to arrest them”

Desmond was crying two years ago that cops shouldn’t be hassling young, black males.

He's not wrong. They just stood there and watched a dude catch a beating. The cowards would have fit right in at Uvalde.

Part of me agrees with him until I honestly think about inserting myself into that situation.. it escalated so quickly to the helmets being used that most were probably caught off guard.. it’s pretty freaking rare for bystanders even cops to get involved when nearly every time it’s broken up quickly by players and coaches

And if they did people would get pissed and call them racist for intervening.

I sort of agree with him.

Did you see all of the angles?

But I get what you are trying to say.

I mean it's not a good look for the cops but you know had they intervened they would have been called racists so they are kind of screwed either way in this backward world we live in.

These players are supposed to be adults. Stop making excuses for them by pointing the finger at everyone EXCEPT the guilty parties.

FWIW I’m pretty sure all of those players were adults too. They could stopped as well. But yeah I mean people should help out, but I also sort of understand why people in general don’t want to get involved in other peoples stuff in todays world.
