I’m currently driving a ford escape for work. Since it’s a company vehicle I’d like to keep my budget about $35000 preowned. I’m in outside sales I need a cargo area of about 33.5 cubic feet.
I’m looking for preferably 6 cylinder minimum
I’m more concerned about cargo area, ride or comfort
In any particular order
Honda passport/pilot
Hyndai Tucson/Santa Fe/Palisade
Jeep grand Cherokee
Toyota Highlander
Kia telluride and maybe Sorrento
Volkswagen Atlas?
Subaru - Ascent
Since I’ve been in Ford escape and Chevy equinox in the past I’d prefer to avoid those.
Is there any models that I’m overlooking

Haven't heard great things about the Atlas, but that's when they first came out. Wife had the pervious model Grand Cherokee and loved it. We have the new model now and love it. Don't know what the market is on those though.

Grand Cherokee - plenty of space and a great ride

I'd get the Grand Cherokee. All others seem like soccer mom wagons

Nice car that I would never buy. Grand Cherokees have a terrible reputation for maintenance issues.
Stick to the Japanese cars, especially if you're buying used.

I had 2 and must have been lucky. I never had any issues.

4runner used or low mileage xterra with the 4.0 v6. my 2005 xterra offroad model is the best vehicle i've ever owned. rugged. brilliant rear storage solutions. lots of power. locking rear diff. good clearance. can haul small stuff like a SXS no problem.

$4,200, can haul your Ford Escape to the dump and will put everyone at soccer practice on notice.
It has it all.
It has it all.

You have to prove you’re a lesbian before the Subaru dealership will put any paperwork in front of you.
