He is currently 15 years old and will be 17 for the majority of his freshman year, but the kid is super mature for his age and his body is already pretty filled out so I don’t see his age being an issue

Crown do you happen to know how old he is? Since he is moving up a year I was just curious how old he will be when he gets to LSU.
I've heard he's 16 right now.

Like others have said hopefully he will be a vocal recruiter for that class, amazing to have the #2 QB committed so early!
This is a question, I don't delve in recruiting all that much and this is NOT a bitch, just wondering.... I know there are only about 20-30ish 5 stars per class, but how is the #2QB in a class not a 5star? Aren't there typically at least 2-4 5star QBs per class typically?

On3 example:
Nov. 1 — Mid-sophomore year watchlist: 0 5-stars, 100 4-stars
April 1 — Initial On300: 5 5-stars, 295 4-stars
June 1 — Spring update: 10 5-stars, 315 4-stars
Nov. 1 — Mid-season junior update: 15 5-stars, 335 4-stars
March 1 — Post National Signing Day overhaul: 20 5-stars, 355 4-stars
May 1 — Spring Update: 25 5-stars, 375 4-stars
Aug. 1 — Summer Update: 32 5-stars, 393 4-stars
Oct. 1 — Mid senior Update: 32 5-stars, 418 4-stars
Dec. 1 — Post senior Update: 32 5-stars, 418 4-stars
Feb. 1 — Final Update: 32 5-stars, 418 4-stars
Basically, as the years go on and their senior years play out, they give out more 5 stars until eventually meeting the 32

Crown, you know anything about our level of football interest in 2025 Bishop Verot (FL) QB/ATH Carter Smith? He seems to be a big target for Jay Johnson, just wondering if football will enter the equation at all.

Is it too early to start a 2024 Football Recruiting class thread to pin to this page?

Don't know an exact age, but as of April of this year, he was 14 years old, so that would put him at about 17 when he enters college. Very young, but he's been on a strict training regimen for ahwile according to this article.

From the Sayin thread
quote:
Sloan got Sloaned in this one. highly overrated coach who tries to talk smart but isn't. got a free trip and vacation to California just to come back empty-handed. no wonder he was rotting for 10 years at a shitty school and no one would touch him.
quote:
People downvoting because they don't like hear to criticism. I absolutely agree with what you said about Sloan. I've seen nothing from him that has me convinced he can recruit elite QBs. Howard is Orgeron's recruit who's prone to injury, and Daniels was a last-second desperation to get someone to fill in the starting spot. Kelly needs to get rid of Sloan in the offseason and find an NFL qb coach who has a track record of developing QBs. If we can't get the QB situation nailed down then I don't ever see us winning a title.
