They only play day games

Completely agree and l think they should have upgraded to leds this year.
It must be the field lights that need LED upgrade. It’s probably not as simple as turning them off and back on.
We already have the purple thing going, but I think it’s the video boards providing the color.

That shite was awesome. Fans would love something like that. But we would have to form our own take on it.

Y’all need to get a grip on attendance, tv has made things a lot easier to watch every game in luxury. Baton route isn’t a true college town and life doesn’t revolve around lsu. Let’s be honest too, it’s not cheap to attend games or people don’t want to drive and risk scalping tickets. Louisiana isn’t this rich state with a ton of discretionary income.
We battle it out with the saints fanbase for season tickets. Most have to make a choice, few can do both

As Monty Phyton says, "I fart in your direction".

That would make sense, except season tickets are sold out every year and most games are completely sold out ticket wise. Yet the seats are still empty and people still leave early.
So with this lack of discretionary income, people are just wasting it by not showing up or leaving early?

You’re never going to stop people from leaving early. A lot of factors go into it.. alcohol, women, kids etc. companies (stubhub) are buying these seats up as well for resale profit and fees. LSU will never stop this because the money is in the bank.
When my wife doesn’t want to go, which was only one game this year.. no one wanted to come with me from the north shore. Some people just aren’t down with a 12-14 hour day to watch a game if you don’t live close. A lot of her patients have told her they gave up tickets due to kids having sporting events, hunting, getting older.

So it's been said many, many times on this board that traffic, concessions and overall costs keep people from attending the games and staying for the duration.
But we're going to pack the stands and keep them there if we throw in a light show? Of course, that might actually help with attendance in the student section. They're fascinated with bright, shiny objects and loud noises.
I actually would enjoy LED lights, but it wouldn't, in any way, be a deciding factor for me attending or staying. Give me a championship-caliber team on the field and the LSU band, and I'm completely satisfied

The days of the reputation we gained are in the past unfortunately. When they priced out the common man and going to the games started being a business treat or plainly for social attention has ruined it. Instead of a die hard fan in the seats who will raise hell all 4 quarters you have a bunch of businessmen who are too proper to be yelling over a football game and leave at halftime.

Do you go to Tiger Stadium for a football game or a light show. The fans should create the atmosphere!

Because like most everything else in Louisiana money is diverted to pockets. Yes, “they” do have the money and cry for more.

This thread reminds me of pre-teen or teenage children continually bugging their parents for the latest fad = could be sneakers or video games or whatever. The children are like "but dad, all my friends have this brand. I have to have it too."
I'm not saying I'm against the LED lights - I don't really have an opinion on what the priorities for the stadium should be. But the "keeping up with the Jones'" rationale never really struck me as a strong one.

I’d take a decent link of boudin or poboy over the lights. It’s LA, and the food SUCKS!

Lights don't win football games.

If you want to bring REAL fans to Tiger Stadium, bring back real out of conference opponents and play them in Tiger Stadium. Quit traveling every season for the opener and quit playing at these neutral sites. Make OOC opponents come to Tiger Stadium first if you schedule a series. Going back through the years I remember looking forward to seeing LSU play ND, Ohio State, Colorado, Nebraska, Washington, Florida State, all in their prime and at night in Baton Rouge. If you look at what a season ticket holder gets now, you may get 2-3 rivalry games and probably only one at night. But you also have to pay for Southern, Southeastern, ULM, and other rent-a- wins. Season tickets are no longer worth the investment.

They’re coming. It’s already planned but i can’t believe so many people care so much about them.
