Stadium Atmosphere

I know this has been posted here before but it really is shameful how outdated our stadium experience is. I mean Bama, Georgia, and Tennessee all have incredible LEDs that make the stadium look incredible. I know we have the money, why are we so behind? Looking for serious answers, is there a legitimate reason that they haven’t added LEDs to Tiger Stadium yet?

Cause the old farts here say they don’t want them

I would take a full stadium till the end of a game, over those lights.

Very true. A better atmosphere would help with fan turnout and recruiting. College football is essentially an arms race for the best facilities, never want to fall behind.

Completely agree and l think they should have upgraded to leds this year. Turning the lights off during breaks is what gets the crowd going nuts. I’ll post a few videos from Auburn games this year, they were executed to perfection.
Auburn 1
Auburn vs LSU
I think Kelly should have some say so and make a new tradition. Florida started the Tom Petty stuff, Auburn is dominating the light show and LSU could incorporate neck or something with no lights and good music with cell phone lights and a purple background.
Chicken, make it happen. We’ll do a fundraiser here and I’ll be the first to donate!
Oh almost forgot to add…. LSU needs to upgrade to a badass sound system.

Auburn has them too? Man I really don’t understand why we are so behind. People love to complain about people not showing up to games when we are lightyears behind everybody else.

Auburn‘a atmosphere is better than all those listed. Gets crowd excited. Hell this year there were moments when I was there that I was excited and I’m a die hard LSU fan.

LED lights improve stadium experience? Seriously?
Who gives a shite? Just f-ing win. That’s a badass experience for a hundred years.

Didn’t even know Auburn had one too. So basically all the SEC blue bloods have a better stadium experience than us?

Ok kid. I guess we’ll get you some “cool” lights so you can have fun and be excited.
Meanwhile Tigers are kicking some arse.

I’m all for an improved atmosphere and if they want to do the LED lights then great I’m for it but this statement is wrong.
If LSU is in a good game against a top team going into the 4th quarter then the stadium will be electric no matter what the light situation is. New lights aren’t going to keep fans in their seats in a blowout against a lesser opponent.

Football is about ENTERTAINMENT. That is it. Whether we win or lose we watch for entertainment value. If we lose every game or go undefeated nothing of importance will change in our lives.
By enhancing the stadium experience it gives the fans more ENTERTAINMENT value. Those that are stuck in the 20th century and think we should all wear a coat and tie to the game (like my grandfather did) need to realize that times change and things evolve.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with enhancing the stadium experience with lights, sounds, and whatever gets people fired up and wanting to stay for 4 quarters. Those that say the play on the field should make you want to do that have blinders on to what people want in the current times. Like it or not.

My thoughts exactly. I’m a die hard fan, and I’m there nearly every week. I’m speaking for the fan base as a whole, some people just don’t care as much about the on field product as me and I understand that, but upgrading the stadium would get more of those people to attend games.
